The Poor Clare Monastery was established on the Cliftonville Road in North Belfast in 1924. It was closed as a monastery in 2013 and rededicated as a seminary for young priests on 29 June 2013. In 2014, Multimedia Heritage published a DVD celebrating the great impact of the departing Poor Clare Order on women in the local and larger community and covering the closing ceremony of the monastery in 2013.
